A hands-on workshop led by Junko O'Neill focusing on the traditional Japanese art of Sumi-e ink painting, specifically exploring the theme of Maple.
This three-hour workshop provides a hands-on introduction to Sumi-e, the traditional Japanese art of ink wash painting. Participants will learn to express the essence of the Maple theme using minimal, elegant brushwork and negative space. The session covers the origins and philosophy of Sumi-e, ink preparation, brush control, and foundational techniques.
