About
A guided walking tour from Angel exploring how Christmas was celebrated in Islington during the Victorian period.
This 105-minute guided walk led by Rob Smith of Footprints of London examines the different ways Christmas was celebrated in Islington in Victorian times. It draws on stories including currant cake at Thomas's, dancing at Henry's Assembly Rooms, a Christmas lecture from Rev McGuire and a special lunch for the Boot Black Brigade. The walk, which mixes funny and sad stories, starts and finishes at Angel Tube station.
