About
A guided walking tour of Newington Green exploring the radical thinkers and religious dissenters who shaped the area in the 18th century.
Footprints of London guide Rob Smith leads a walk through Newington Green, once a hamlet where radical thinkers and dissenting religious groups gathered away from the City. The tour covers Mary Wollstonecraft's pioneering school for girls, London's oldest houses, a forgotten graveyard and the chapel that inspired American revolutionaries. The walk starts outside the Lady Mildmay pub and lasts around 105 minutes.
