National ATF Field Meeting
About
A field meeting at Willock Farm's orchards exploring the management of veteran apple and plum trees and launching new ATF guidance.
The Ancient Tree Forum hosts a field visit to the extensive orchards at Willock Farm, Wisbech St Mary, where David Wheatley manages over 30 acres of roughly 100-year-old apple and plum trees across 28 varieties and a range of rootstocks. Expert Bob Lever joins to discuss the practical management of neglected and ancient fruit trees. The visit also marks the launch of new ATF guidance on managing veteran fruit trees, produced with sponsorship from the Orchard Network, with discussion taking place in the field. The day runs from 9.45am to 4pm.
