Zak Ové: Invisible Man and the Masque of Blackness
About
Thirteen large sculptures by Zak Ové are arranged across The Sherborne’s garden in a formation made for this site. The installation considers visibility, identity and resilience through an African diasporic perspective.
Thirteen monumental sculptures by Zak Ové stand in a configuration developed for The Sherborne’s historic garden. The work connects questions of visibility, identity and resilience with African diasporic experience and the garden’s setting. The installation runs from 11 September 2026 to 10 September 2027. Garden entry is free; donations are welcome. The garden follows the venue’s published visiting hours: 10:00–17:00 Monday–Saturday and 10:00–16:00 Sundays and bank holidays. It closes early at 16:00 on 24 December and is closed on 25–26 December.
