Caveat Emptor – A Ghost Story for Christmas

An immersive 40-minute promenade ghost story, adapted from Edith Wharton, performed in the rooms of Samlesbury Hall.

Samlesbury Hall's sixth annual Christmas ghost play is a newly written adaptation inspired by Edith Wharton's Afterward. An American family buys an old estate named Hobgrave Hall, only to find the property comes with a history that refuses to be ignored. The 40-minute promenade performance guides audiences through the 14th-century manor room by room, with showtimes at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. Produced by AtmosFEAR! Scare Entertainment, the show is family-friendly but laced with unease.
