Mona Chalabi Ten Lives

Author event at Blackwell's Bookshop with Mona Chalabi discussing her book Ten Lives, about how wealth shapes ten people's lives.

Data journalist and illustrator Mona Chalabi visits Blackwell's Bookshop to discuss Ten Lives, her first book. Over five years she followed ten people with very different incomes, documenting how wealth shaped their choices, identities and insecurities; the book interweaves her data visualisations with her own experience of sudden wealth and loss. The event explores how much money people actually need to feel safe and what we owe one another.
