The Global Stories Book Club with Laviya Cooke – November

The November meeting of the Global Stories Book Club, facilitated by Laviya Cooke, discusses Good Dirt by Charmaine Wilkerson.

The Global Stories Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month and is a space where the voices of people of colour are explored and celebrated. People of colour are welcome, as is anybody interested in stories from diverse perspectives. The November session, facilitated by Laviya Cooke, discusses Good Dirt by Charmaine Wilkerson, a novel following Ebby Freeman, whose life has been marked by her brother's death and her fiancé's desertion, as she seeks healing in a French village only for Henry to appear nearby. Tickets can be bought as book-and-ticket or ticket-only options.
