House of Books & Friends hosts its monthly book club, this month reading Greater Sins by Gabrielle Griffiths — a 1915-set novel about an isolated Scottish community unsettled by the discovery of a preserved body in a peat bog. A bookseller leads the session, with attendees splitting into smaller groups to discuss set questions. Tickets can be bought with the book (£9.99, delivered or collected in store) or alone (£3), with a limited number of complimentary places for those who cannot afford either.
