About
A one-hour candlelit piano recital centred on Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, with music by Chopin and Liszt, at St George's Hall.
This candlelit concert presents a one-hour programme of best-loved piano music, with Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata at its heart — from its hushed, hypnotic opening through a lighter middle movement to a turbulent, dramatic finale. The programme also features works by Chopin and Liszt, two composers who expanded the piano's expressive and technical possibilities in very different ways. Doors open at 2:15pm.
