Historical Talk: The History of Walton Bridge

Elmbridge Museum presents a talk tracing the history of the six bridges that have crossed the Thames between Walton and Shepperton. The story features two world famous artists, assorted other notable figures, a dramatic collapse and long-standing 'temporary' bridges. The speaker is Nick Pollard, curator of Spelthorne Museum, chairman of Sunbury and Shepperton Local History Society and author of 'The History of Walton Bridge'. The talk runs from 11am to 12pm and booking is essential via Walton Library.
