About
A Ludlow Lectures talk by Alison Utting on south Shropshire diarist Katherine Plymley, part researched lecture and part in-character performance.
Alison Utting presents a lecture on Katherine Plymley (1758–1829), a south Shropshire diarist whose journals record her travels, connections with notable figures of her day and involvement with the Abolition movement. The first half explores the research into Plymley's life and times, while the second half is performed in character using Katherine's own words. The lecture runs from 10am to 12pm with a coffee break in the middle.
