Ludlow Lectures: Ludlow People and The Civil War

Local history enthusiast Mike Beazley gives a morning lecture on Ludlow people and their experiences during the 17th-century Civil War.

This Ludlow Lecture explores the Civil War through the eyes of local families such as the Mores, Crofts, Harleys, Salweys and Myttons, alongside figures like Prince Rupert. Although the main battles took place far from Ludlow, local engagements had dramatic consequences for the people involved. Speaker Mike Beazley, a local history enthusiast, tells the story of the town during this period. The lecture runs from 10am to 12 noon with a coffee break in the middle.
