Brian Anderson, a photographer and lecturer, examines Norman architecture and visual arts in twelfth-century churches across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. The illustrated talk covers narrative sculpture, ornate stonework and vivid wall paintings, showing designs influenced by the British Isles, Europe and further east. The lecture runs from 10am to 12pm with a coffee break in the middle.
