Manon (Revival)

A revival of Kenneth MacMillan's 1974 adaptation of Abbé Prévost’s novel, set in 18th-century Paris.

Set in the hedonistic underworld of 18th-century Paris, the story follows Manon, a native of the city's underbelly, as she navigates her desires. The narrative explores her inner turmoil and struggle for survival as she falls in love with the student Des Grieux. This signature work of The Royal Ballet is based on Kenneth MacMillan’s 1974 adaptation of Abbé Prévost’s novel. The production features music by Jules Massenet and designs by Nicholas Georgiadis.
