Sunday Early Afternoon Pottery Class

A five-week Sunday afternoon pottery course at SkandiHus's Walthamstow studio covering hand building, wheel throwing, decoration and glazing for makers with some prior experience.

This five-week course (joining in week two of a six-week run) takes place on Sunday afternoons at SkandiHus's Walthamstow studio. Each week focuses on a different technique, spanning hand building, wheel throwing, surface decoration and glazing, with an emphasis on playful experimentation with clay. It is aimed at makers with some existing hand building or wheel throwing skills, and all materials are provided, with clay charged at £5 per kg for firing. Students work under teacher Helen Bush at their own pace, with access to in-house glazes, tools and slips.
