The Lost Workers (Permanent Exhibition)
About
A free permanent exhibition housing Christian Boltanski's 'Lost Workers' installation alongside Crossley Carpets artefacts, prints and a Dobby Loom.
The 'Lost Workers' installation was created by French artist Christian Boltanski for a 1994 exhibition at the Henry Moore Studio in Dean Clough's E Mill, containing items once belonging to workers at Crossley Carpets. The contents have been re-housed in box files for the public to view. The room also displays prints by Ross Furness from an 'Artist in Industry' residency, an original Dobby Loom, a draughtsman's desk from the Crossley Carpets design office and an example of one of the company's most commercially successful carpets. Open weekdays 09:00–17:00 and weekends 10:00–16:00.
