Saltaire Living Advent Calendar

A community advent calendar of secret festive window designs that light up daily across Saltaire village from 1 December until 1 January.

Running since 2006, the Saltaire Living Advent Calendar sees illuminated window displays appear daily in houses, schools, shops and churches across the village until Christmas Eve, with windows remaining lit until 1 January. Each design is kept secret until it is revealed at 16:00 on its light-up date, featuring festive scenes, quirky characters and stories inspired by Saltaire and the creators' own lives. Anyone in the village can take part, from children and new residents to professional artists and local businesses. A map of window locations is available from November at saltaireinspired.org.uk and at locations throughout Saltaire.
