About
Storyteller Claire Mace performs a bilingual retelling of the Mabinogion tale of Olwen, weaving in Welsh herb lore, folklore and tree stories.
Claire Mace presents a traditional storytelling performance retelling 'Culhwch and Olwen' from the mediaeval Mabinogion manuscripts, delivered bilingually in English and Welsh. The tale of Olwen, the giant's daughter who leaves a trail of white clover, is illuminated by folklore from across Wales, herb lore, folk tales and stories of trees and plants. The show was developed with support from the Gwobr Esyllt Prize from Chwedl, the network of women storytellers in Wales.
