Portrait Art Classes – Week 3

A four-week Tuesday-evening portrait drawing course at Discover Downham, tutored by local artist Richard and limited to eight places.

Downham Art Classes run a four-week drawing course dedicated to portraiture, meeting on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm to 9pm. Working from a diverse range of models, participants explore techniques and materials including Conté, pencil, charcoal and watercolour. Tutor Richard guides attendees in observing the head in light and shade, experimenting with texture and tone, achieving a closer likeness and capturing each sitter's character. The course is limited to eight places with all high-quality artists' materials provided.
