Crotchet a Spook – Children’s Workshop
About
A Halloween crochet workshop for children aged 6–11, led by Clare from Threadbare, making a crocheted ghost to take home.
Children aged 6–11 join a two-hour Halloween crafting session at Discover Downham, where Clare from Threadbare, a local craft business, shows them how to turn a crocheted piece into their own friendly or spooky ghost to take home. No experience is needed, and Clare will also display some of her handmade items. Participants are encouraged to bring white, grey or cream wool (ideally Aran ply or thicker) and a 4mm or 5mm crochet hook, with help available for those without. A pay-as-you-go sweet bar runs during the session, and the workshop doubles as a fundraiser for the Discover Downham extension, limited to 12 children.
