A BLACK STAR is a climbing film following Ben Ankobiah, a Ghanaian-born climber drawn into the winter mountains of Scotland. As he takes on increasingly demanding mixed and ice climbs, the mountains become a place that answers questions about identity, belonging, grief and standing apart. The screening takes place in person at Alpkit Hathersage and runs two and a half hours.
