Repair Cafe Aberystwyth, Eco Hub

A free volunteer-run repair cafe where people bring broken items to be fixed while enjoying tea and coffee with neighbours.

Volunteer repairers attempt to fix broken or damaged items brought along by the public, free of charge, with tea and coffee available while you wait. Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair and woodworking, though most items are considered except microwaves, which are too dangerous. Repairers will even show visitors how the fix is done. The event is supported by Eco Hub Aber and the National Lottery Community Fund, and aspiring fixers are welcome to come along too.
