Cadenza Project and Manchester Camerata Research Concert
About
A free research concert where Manchester Camerata performs Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony while the audience helps the Cadenza project study music listening with hearing loss.
The Cadenza project, a UKRI-funded research collaboration investigating how hearing loss affects music listening, presents a free concert with Manchester Camerata. The orchestra performs movements from Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, interspersed with short experimental excerpts performed in different ways, with audience feedback gathered via questionnaires to inform future hearing-aid research. The event closes with a Q&A with Cadenza project experts, and is open to anyone who enjoys classical music, with a mix of listeners with and without hearing loss encouraged to attend.
