Sculpting Stories, Places and People (Teacher CPD session)
About
A free, bookable professional-development workshop for primary and secondary teachers, led by artists Lenny & Whale. Participants explore sculpture through drawing, cardboard, clay and digital tools.
The National Coal Mining Museum’s session uses its Villagers exhibition and Betty Miller’s sculpture as a starting point. Lenny & Whale lead a practical exploration of drawing, sculpture and digital technology, with approaches teachers can adapt for classroom use. The museum identifies it as teacher CPD for primary and secondary teachers. A free teacher ticket is offered through the linked ticket page; the museum asks attendees to email any access, dietary or allergy requirements.
