About

Crown Ballet performs Tchaikovsky's classic ballet The Nutcracker at Middlesbrough Theatre.

Crown Ballet returns to the UK with its production of The Nutcracker, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. The ballet follows young Marie, whose Christmas gift of a Nutcracker doll from her godfather Drosselmeier leads to a magical adventure in which the doll becomes a prince. Performed live to Tchaikovsky's score, the production is presented as a family-friendly introduction to classical ballet.
