Black History Month Soul Food Cooking Class Seniors

A hands-on soul food cooking session for school years 7-11 exploring Black culinary heritage through dishes like mac and cheese, rice and peas and jerk chicken.

This Black History Month cooking session, run by Bread n Butter CIC, invites young people in school years 7-11 to learn soul food dishes passed down through generations, including mac and cheese, rice and peas, jerk chicken and a dessert. Alongside step-by-step cooking guidance from expert cooks, participants hear the cultural stories behind each dish, with music and a shared meal at the end.
