Way Out West Presents a Short History of Jazz

The Way Out West collective performs a journey through a century of jazz history as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.

As part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, the musicians' collective Way Out West traces jazz back through more than a century of innovation, moving from contemporary sounds to the genre's roots. The programme features the group's own arrangements of landmark works spanning mainstream, bebop, cool, modal, free, fusion, contemporary and New Orleans traditions. The seven-piece line-up combines vocals and saxophone, trombone, piano, bass and drums.
