Mermaids present Interchange, a play by Pluto Conway set in post-WWII Lancaster, where a railway crew bids farewell to their old steam engine and reflects on the decade's highs and lows. As relationships are examined and tensions flare, the characters confront a past that cannot easily be repaired. The performance runs two hours with an interval and is recommended for ages 16+, with content warnings for loud noises, mental health struggles, grief, violence, death, homophobia, misogyny, swearing and references to animal cruelty.
