Making a Multi-section Notebook, with a Decorative Paper Wrapper

A one-day bookbinding workshop at The Portico Library making a sewn multi-section notebook with a decorative paper wrapper.

Participants learn to make a sewn notebook with an integral soft card cover, using all-along sewing to create a strong flat back without glue. The session covers grain direction, folding and cutting paper, and creating book sections, before adding a supplementary patterned paper wrapper for a decorative finish. Suitable for beginners to bookbinding.
