Digital Future Day: Home Educators
About
A Halloween-themed digital discovery day at the National Museum of Computing for home-educated children, with drop-in coding and craft activities.
The National Museum of Computing hosts a relaxed, Halloween-themed Digital Future Day exclusively for home-educated children of all ages. Drop-in sessions include designing and launching rockets in SimplePlanes and Juno Rockets, programming a Micro:bit robot car to dodge obstacles, steering Sphero orbs through a dark maze, a creepy crafting zone and a Halloween trail around the museum. Families can also take a self-guided tour of the historic codebreaking machines, with a Visual Story and Sensory Map available to support the visit. The day runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm, with workshops starting at 11am.
