Christmas Holidays: Operation Christmas
About
A festive family programme at The Tank Museum over the Christmas holidays, featuring the Operation Christmas trail, wartime Christmas displays, games and free soft play.
The Tank Museum marks the Christmas holidays with Operation Christmas, a trail in which the museum's elf Frank helps visitors hunt for Santa's missing presents, with a prize for finding them all. Families can explore 300 military machines across ten indoor exhibitions, see a festive 1940s house and shop showing what Christmas looked like during WW2, and learn about Christmas during the war. There are also interactive games, dressing up, free kids' trails, a light-up tank with reindeer photo spot outside, and free tank-shaped soft play for ages 3-11. The museum is open daily 10am-5pm but closed 24-26 December, and visitors are advised to allow 4-5 hours.
