Spinning with Odet Beauvoisin

A two-hour handspindle workshop where Odet Beauvoisin teaches spinning thread from sheep fleece and prepared fibre, open to beginners.

Johnstone Textile Space hosts spinner Odet Beauvoisin for a hands-on handspindle workshop aimed at newbies, novices and dabblers. Participants spin thread from loose sheep fleece and/or prepared fibre, with fleece preparation and blending using handcarders included if time allows. Materials, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, and this is the last JTS workshop until 2027. Odet has taught handspinning and yarn design, including nine years at Glasgow School of Art.
