Fright Week Halloween Services at Epping Ongar Railway

A Halloween ghost train experience at Epping Ongar Railway with steam-hauled rides, ghost hunting, a magic show and spooky activities from 28 to 31 October 2026.

Epping Ongar Railway's Fright Week offers a Halloween-themed experience beginning with an inclusive vintage London bus park-and-ride from Epping Underground station to North Weald, where visitors hunt for ghosts said to haunt the station. A steam-hauled ghost train then carries passengers to Ongar, with living dead characters lurking on board, and a break at Ongar featuring the Manic Magician's magic show, a gruesome graveyard, a spooky craft table and face painting (extra charge). Refreshments are available from the LNER cafe at North Weald and the Buffet Stop at Ongar; visitors should allow approximately two and a half hours for the whole experience.
