Rush Hour Concerts: Antony Clare

Pianist Antony Clare performs a free Rush Hour concert of minimalist piano works by Satoh, Skempton, Ustvolskaya and Glass at Firth Hall.

Antony Clare, a Nottingham-based pianist, teacher and composer, gives a Rush Hour Concert exploring musical minimalism through four contrasting works: Somei Satoh's Incarnation II, Howard Skempton's Piano Pieces, Galina Ustvolskaya's Sonata No.6 and Philip Glass's Mad Rush. The programme presents composers who each sustain a single mood, ranging from the hypnotic and meditative to the violent and dramatic. The concert is free and takes place at Firth Hall, starting at 5:45 pm.
