About
Jazz pianist Zoe Rahman performs music from her new album Hull Suite Live with her trio at Firth Hall.
Zoe Rahman presents music from her new album Hull Suite Live with her jazz trio, featuring drummer Gene Calderazzo and bassist Alec Dankworth. The album centres on her Hull Suite, commissioned by Hull Jazz Festival for World Piano Day 2024. The music explores themes of voyage, migration and the sea, inspired by two statues in Hull and connected to Rahman's own family history. The event is presented in association with Sheffield Jazz, with doors at 7pm and the performance at 7:30pm.
