Christmas Lantern & Stationery - Indian Woodblock Printing Workshop

A hands-on festive workshop learning traditional Indian woodblock printing to create a lantern, cards, tags and tissue paper.

This artist-led session at Oswestry Memorial Hall introduces traditional Indian woodblock printing in a small, relaxed group. Participants plan a repeat pattern on paper, then practise with hand-carved wooden blocks and textile paint on cotton fabric before printing their final pieces. Everyone takes home a small lantern with an LED tea light, four handprinted cards with envelopes, four present tags and two sheets of tissue paper. The session runs for 1 hour 45 minutes, is suitable for complete beginners and those with some creative experience, and all materials are provided.
