Elevate Festival – WORK
About
A work-in-progress immersive performance art piece exploring the absurdity of employment, followed by an optional Q&A with the lead performers.
WORK is a piece of theatrical performance art examining the workforce and the parts of ourselves we abandon to stay employed, set to an original soundtrack of distorted field recordings and noise. It draws text from old CVs, application forms and interview-speak, touching on staff room diet chat and suppressed animal impulses. This work-in-progress development transforms the show from an end-on performance into an immersive, multi-room piece. The 60-minute performance (no interval, ages 16+) is followed by an optional 30-minute Q&A with lead performers Claudia Jefferies and Fynn Roberts.
