Discovering Bats Day

A Halloween family event where bat experts show rescued British bats up close, with bat detectors and myth-busting facts, in three timed sessions.

Bat experts David Endacott and Michelle Young bring a selection of rescued British bats, from pipistrelles to noctules, for visitors to see up close. Visitors can examine the bats' teeth and wings and hear their calls on bat detectors, while learning facts that dispel common myths about bats. The event takes place on Halloween, with three one-hour sessions to choose from, and tickets include entry to the John Moore Museum and Merchant's House.
