Intaglio Press | Experimental Plates + Matrices

A live printmaking demonstration showing how everyday and unconventional materials can be turned into experimental printing plates and matrices.

Part of the Studio programme at Imprint Art Fair, this session offers a live demonstration of intaglio printmaking using experimental plates and matrices. Visitors can see how found textures and unconventional materials are transformed into printing surfaces, and how material choices shape the marks and irregularities of the finished print. The session forms part of a four-day timetable of demonstrations at the intaglio and screenprinting presses.
