Monoprint without a Press: using a gel plate and acrylic ink

Jo Hall leads six sessions in monoprinting without a press. Participants use gel plates and acrylic paint to make prints and collage papers, exploring mark making, stencils, wax resist and layered colour.

Across six sessions, Jo Hall teaches a press-free approach to monoprinting using gel plates and acrylic paint. Participants experiment with mark making, masks, stencils, wax resist, texture and layered colour, producing both finished prints and collage papers for later development. The course runs from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, with a break on 6 October. Participants bring their own gel plate, brayer and other listed materials.
