About
OperaUpClose performs Flotsam, a family opera for ages 2-6 based on David Wiesner's picture book, with music and text by Kerry Andrew.
OperaUpClose brings David Wiesner's picture book Flotsam to the stage in a new opera with score and text by Kerry Andrew, blending music, movement and storytelling. A curious child finds a camera washed up on the beach, and the photos inside reveal children linked across time and an extraordinary underwater world. The show runs approximately 35 minutes with no interval and is recommended for children aged 2-6 and their families.
