Flavours of Heritage: Africa & Caribbean Tooting Food Tour
About
A guided Tooting food tour introducing African and Caribbean food businesses and their community stories, with food samples along the route.
Led by Geoff Simmons of Planet Tooting and Chantelle Bent of Chantelle’s Community Kitchen, the tour visits selected African and Caribbean restaurants, cafés, bakeries and food businesses. The event page names Kimmie’s Jerk Joint, Changos, Elsa’s Kitchen, Kenkey, Sunyani, Sunshine, Minerva, Ital Vital and Mixed Blessings Bakery as examples. Attendees hear from local businesses about food and heritage and sample dishes. The published meeting point is Tooting Broadway Station; the route and complete participating roster are not given on the hub page.
