Free 2-Day Songwriting Workshop

A free two-day songwriting workshop at The Basement for young people aged 11–18, led by professional songwriter Marc.

Young people aged 11–18 can join professional songwriter Marc at The Basement in Helston for a free two-day holiday workshop running 10am–3pm on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th October 2026. Working in a small group with others of similar age and musical experience, participants develop an original song while learning song concepts and structures, creative lyric writing, and chords, melody and harmony. The workshop aims to build confidence and self-expression, and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those already writing songs. It is a pilot project funded by South Kerrier Alliance CIC, with limited capacity and advance booking required.
