Fashion Subject Taster Day: Public Protest in Style - Create Your Own Slogan T-Shirt
About
A free hands-on fashion workshop for ages 16+ exploring slogan T-shirts, from designing and heat-pressing your own tee to costing and promoting it.
This taster day at Ravensbourne University London explores the history and cultural impact of the slogan T-shirt before participants design and heat-press one of their own. The session shows how the university's three fashion subject areas — Fashion Design, Fashion Business and Brand Marketing, and Fashion Communication — work together, taking an idea from concept to product and campaign. Attendees also calculate production costs and potential profit, and shoot promotional images of their finished T-shirt in a mini photo studio. It is aimed at students aged 16 and over, including Level 2 and Level 3 learners, interested in fashion and the wider creative industries.
