The University Church Choir sings Choral Evensong according to the Book of Common Prayer in the Chancel of the University Church.
The University Church Choir leads Choral Evensong according to the Book of Common Prayer, a form of service devised during the English Reformation by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer, who was later martyred in Oxford. The service draws on Christian Scripture and the ancient monastic offices of Vespers and Compline, offering a framework for reflection and prayer. Congregants are asked to sit in the Chancel to participate.
