About
A graduate carol service on the Second Sunday of Advent, with choral evensong according to the Book of Common Prayer preached by The Lord Rees of Easton.
The University Church of St Mary the Virgin holds a Graduate Carol Service on the Second Sunday of Advent. The service takes the form of Choral Evensong according to the Book of Common Prayer, a liturgy devised by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer during the English Reformation, drawing on Christian Scriptures and the ancient monastic offices of Vespers and Compline. The preacher is The Lord Rees of Easton. Congregants are asked to sit in the Chancel to participate.
