Nottingham: The Dark Side Walking Tour

A Halloween-weekend guided walking tour uncovering Nottingham's darker history of riots, executions, body snatchers and hauntings.

Local guide Sam leads a 1.5-hour evening walking tour through Nottingham's sinister past, starting at the Left Lion in Old Market Square. Stops include the site of the last public execution at Shire Hall, the body snatchers of Barker Gate, the ghosts of Nottingham Castle and Mortimer's Hole, the haunted Justice Museum gallows and the cholera-ridden Narrow Marsh slums. The tour is for adults aged 16 and over and runs at 6pm and 8pm on 30 and 31 October 2026.
