Curator’s Tours: Dressing Up – Fashion & Nightlife in 18th-Century Hampshire

Two curator-led tours explore Georgian clothing, preparation and evening entertainments through the Dressing Up exhibition.

Follow the stages of a night out in eighteenth-century Hampshire, from getting dressed and choosing what to wear to travelling after dark and attending entertainments. Historic costume, accessories, rare books, manuscripts, prints and artworks illustrate the social expectations and pleasures surrounding an evening out.
