About
Baritone Allyn Wu with archlute and harpsichord performs a programme of Purcell, Dowland, Charpentier and Moulinié at the York Early Music Christmas Festival.
Allyn Wu, prizewinner of the 2025 Concours Corneille baroque vocal competition, joins Sergio Bucheli (archlute) and Guillaume Haldenwang (harpsichord) for a lunchtime recital exploring themes of innocence, desire, betrayal and acceptance. The programme weaves together music by Purcell, Dowland, Charpentier and Moulinié with instrumental interludes by Couperin and Marais. Mince pies are served on arrival as part of the York Early Music Christmas Festival.
